Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School

Prior to my life teaching robotics at TJ I was an English teacher for 10 years (2 at Rishel Middle School and 8 here at TJ). In my past life I have worked as a line-cook, a construction worker, a pyro-technician, a machinist, managed a tattoo parlor, worked as a roadie, and much more. While many of these jobs have been exciting none have been as rewarding as the profession of teaching. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two dogs, working on my motorcycle, my 1956 Chevy pick-up and also enjoy scuba diving, camping, hunting, reading, fishing, and working with my hands.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” Hunter S. Thompson.
